Mic4VET
2022 – 2025
The issue related to the recognition of micro-credentials has, for some years, been central to the analysis and construction of new models in the field of professional training. The debate born in recent months, also through the inputs launched by the European Commission, has highlighted the need to create standardised forms of certification in order to guarantee recognized and valid training courses at the European level.
Within the consortium, this need is particularly marked, as the need to be able to offer a training service, which is updated with respect to the rapid changes in the labour market, is increasingly evident.
The confrontation born within the consortium highlighted the need for a common strategy for the recognition of micro-credentials and for professional profiles able to evaluate and orient users in order to build ad hoc upskilling and reskilling paths. Through the MIC4VET project we intend to intervene on several levels of beneficiaries: the project partners, who will be able to train tutors who can follow the evaluation and certification process of micro-credentials, the people (adults, NEETs and migrants) who will be followed and oriented within vocational training courses and European opportunities, the European networks of VET providers who will create a common strategy for the recognition of micro-credentials.
The outputs of the project are:
- Project Manual with the project strategy and good practices to disseminate at the end of the project
- Memorandum of Understanding between VET and enterprises
- Consortium agreement for recognition of micro-credentials
- Training Manual for the orientation of students through micro-credentials
- Communication and Dissemination Plan
